As a journalist, she earned the I.F. Stone Award for Investigative Journalism and multiple first-place honors from the Arkansas Press Association and Associated Press Managing Editors. Notably, she was a defendant in Whiteside v. Russellville Newspapers, a landmark case that enhanced the Fair Report Privilege for Arkansas journalists. Her policy career includes serving as Public Policy Director at Southern Bancorp and Lead Policy and Program Analyst at the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, specializing in Medicaid and Medicare systems. At ArkLeg Bill Tracker, she merges investigative rigor with public policy analysis to provide accessible insights on Arkansas bills, predictive impacts, and editorial content. He later led newsrooms across the state, directing coverage of high-profile cases including the Nona Dirksmeyer trial, and played a pivotal role in Whiteside v. Russellville Newspapers, a landmark case that strengthened the Fair Report Privilege in Arkansas. Scott also served as Legislative Director for the Association of Arkansas Counties, where he advanced FOIA education and built coalitions to protect Arkansas from burdensome federal regulations.
